Meet Jackson - FACES Camp Counselor

We are excited to welcome Jackson Doane as a first-time camp counselor for the 2025 FACES Camp season! Jackson is a Washington & Lee University student, a Smile Ambassador, and a Cleft Patient Advocate. Jackson is passionate about the ELSA Bill, which would address delays and denials in medical insurance coverage. The Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (ELSA) is a federal bill that would require all health federally regulated insurance products to cover the full treatment of a congenital anomaly or congenital disability until complete restoration of normal function or appearance. Jackson received Operation Smile's first-ever change-maker award for his work with ELSA. With his leadership and compassion for craniofacial kids, Jackson will make an impact on FACES Camp.

Darcey - FACES Camp Counselor

We are thrilled to announce the return of Darcey Wright as a camp counselor for the 2025 FACES Camp season! Having dazzled us with her enthusiasm and leadership last summer, Darcey is back, and we couldn't be happier to have her as part of Team FACES Camp again. Currently pursuing her studies at the University of Missouri (Go Mizzou!), she not only showcases her musical talents as a clarinetist in Marching Mizzou but also plays a pivotal role as the event coordinator for Mizzou's Operation Smile Club. With her vibrant spirit and dedication, Darcey will make this camp season unforgettable, and we can hardly wait to see the magic she brings to the campfire stories and team activities!

Aaliyah - FACES Camp Counselor

Welcome back, Aaliyah Booker, to FACES Camp 2025! We missed you! Aaliyah was a much-loved camp counselor in 2023, and the FACES Camp staff and campers are excited to have her leadership and enthusiasm return this summer. She is a recent graduate of Saint Peter’s University with a degree in Biology. Born with Goldenhar syndrome, Aaliyah is a facial differences and disabilities advocate. Her mission is to share her story in various ways to inspire the youth. You may recognize Aaliyah as host of her Outreach Series on the Children's Craniofacial Association YouTube channel. Last summer, she made history by becoming the first woman with a facial difference to compete in the Miss New Jersey USA beauty pageant.
